Welcome to Dragon’s Den Jiu Jitsu, ran by brown belt Andrew Cleary. We are a purpose-built academy in Mochdre, Colwyn Bay, North Wales, where people of all ages and abilities come to grow stronger on and off the mats. We run classes six days a week, with a full timetable covering adults from beginners to advanced, as well as our Little Dragons (ages 4–6), kids (7–13), and teens programmes—each designed to build confidence, discipline, and real skill in a supportive environment. Train in our brand-new facility, relax in the members’ lounge, and enjoy free tea and coffee while becoming part of a community that’s dedicated to helping you improve every single session.

Kids Classes

Our kids’ Jiu Jitsu classes are all about building confidence, friendships, and a strong sense of community in a fun, supportive environment. Through engaging games and playful drills, children learn valuable skills like coordination, discipline, and respect. And at Christmas time…Santa comes 🎅

Teens Class

Our teens’ Jiu Jitsu classes offer a relaxed, welcoming space to train, socialise, and build confidence at their own pace. Held on Friday nights with a flexible pay-as-you-go option, sessions combine solid technique with a laid-back, friendly vibe that keeps everyone engaged. We mix in light-hearted drills and occasional treat nights—think Xbox and pizza—to reward hard work and strengthen the sense of community both on and off the mats.

Little Dragons

Our Little Dragons classes (ages 4–6) are the perfect introduction to Jiu Jitsu in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment. Each 30-minute session is designed to match young attention spans, using games and simple drills to build coordination, listening skills, and confidence. With plenty of smiles, movement, and positive energy, it’s a great way for little ones to learn, make friends, and start their martial arts journey.
